I shared some updates on Twitter via the hashtag #TheReadingQuest. Overall, I’m really happy with my progress. After being in a reading slump, finishing 9 books is great. All of the artwork was provided by Aentee of Read at Midnight, and was created by CW of Read, Think, Ponder.

May 2016 Readathons

I plan on participating in Read Your Book Shelf A Thon (May 1-8 #RYBSAT), Book Buddy A Thon (May 7-13 #bookbuddyathon), and also Bout of Books 16 (May 9-15 #boutofbooks). Below are my tentative TBR books for each readathon. Because the Book Buddy A Thon & Bout of Books 16 dates mostly overlap, I’m keeping almost the same TBR for both. Here are the quick and dirty (tehe) rules of each readathon:

  1. RYBSAT: Pick a spot on your book shelf & read from there forward
  2. Book Buddy A Thon: Pick a buddy & then read books that meet these challenges
    1) Buddy read a book
    2) Buddy’s favorite color
    3) First initial of buddy’s name
    4) Choose 3 books & let your buddy pick one
    5) Any book
  3. Bout of Books 16: A week long readathon, usually from 12:01 AM on a Monday through 11:59 PM on a Sunday in whatever time zone you’re in. It’s low pressure, meaning you’re only asked to push yourself to read more than you normally would during any given week.

Read Your Book Shelf A Thon TBR:

The Boy Most Likely To Broken Hearts, Fences, and Other Things to Mend Revenge, Ice Cream, and Other Things Best Served Cold How We Fall

Book Buddy A Thon TBR:

Pushing the Limits The Wrong Side of Right Love Story How To Love The Unexpected Everything

Bout of Books 16 TBR:

Pushing the Limits The Wrong Side of Right Love Story How To Love The Unexpected EverythingHearts, Fingers, and Other Things to Cross

Are you participating in any of these readathons? If so, which ones?

Spring Cleaning Readathon Wrap-Up Post

Spring Cleaning Readathon

My good friend Lucy from Books With Lucy hosted the Spring Cleaning Readathon this past weekend. I had to finish up some previously started books on Friday, on top of working 9 hours, so I didn’t get that far on my originally planned TBR list. But overall, I’m happy with my progress during the readathon, which you can see below. I participated in some reading sprints (especially on Saturday) & made some updates using the #SpringCleanReads hashtag.

Friday: Second Chance Summer – 279 pages & finished – 5 stars

What I Thought Was True – approx. 6.5 hours (i.e. approx. 211 pages) & finished – 4/4.5 stars

Saturday: Nowhere But Here – 257 pages

Sunday: Nowhere But Here – 239 pages & finished – 5 stars

Walk the Edge – 28 pages

Books I Didn’t Get To: Not If I See You First, and If He Had Been With Me

How’d everyone else do with the readathon if they participated?
