Fate. Hate. Love. Lies.
Which four letter word will change their lives forever?

Sydney Paige was never so mortified to hear the words “wrong number” in her life. She meant to tell off the guy who broke her best friend’s heart, but unleashed her anger on a perfect stranger instead. And now her world is turned upside down by the captivating man who wants to keep her on the line.

Brian Savage is living a life he’s quickly come to hate-until Sydney’s wild rant has him hooked and hungry for more. Soon the sexy woman on the phone becomes the lover in his bed. But Brian has secrets, and the closer he lets Syd get, the harder it is to shield her from the devastating mistakes of his past . . .

I enjoyed this book, especially due to the characters. They were entertaining, and I loved the interactions between them. The romance felt a little fast to me though. I’m giving this 4 out of 5 stars.

I liked Sydney and Brian a lot. They both persevered when things got rough, and the way they “met” was hilarious. But to be honest, I kind of liked the other characters more. Like Tori and Jamie, for example.

One thing to note, this is definitely a book for a mature audience. Lots of sex, some violence, and quite a bit of swearing to name a few things. Also, it’s kind of emotionally heavy at parts. I was expecting it to be more happy-go-lucky, but it’s not like that all the time. There’s actually real life issues the characters have to deal with, so be prepared for some feels.

I found myself laughing, and smiling, while reading, so major props for that. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series! The writing was great, I think I just need characters I connect with a little more.
