Top Ten Tuesday: Ten Books Set Outside The US

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Every week there’s a new topic for a top ten list.

This week’s topic is Ten Books Set Outside The US. This was a lot harder than I expected because it seems that I read a lot of books set in the U.S.

Anna and the French Kiss  Me Before You  You and Me, Always  Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone  Cinder

1. Anna and the French Kiss  This book is set in the U.S. for parts, but the better part of the book is set in Paris. It’s a cute contemp book!

2. Me Before You  Such a good book, set in England. It was a tearjerker for me, so you might cry.

3. You and Me, Always – Jill Mansell is one of my favorite adult authors. Her books are set in various places in England.

4. Harry Potter series – A childhood favorite that I absolutely love. These books are set in England as well.

5. The Lunar Chronicles series – These books are set in various countries within the Eastern Hemisphere (in the future) AND IN SPACE!

The wrath & the dawn  Just One Year  Angus, Thongs, and Full-Frontal Snogging  Twenties Girl  Queen of Babble

6. The Wrath & the Dawn  A book set in the Middle East (I think?) with such beautiful imagery.

7. Just One Year  This is the second book in the duology, but the only one that isn’t heavily set in the U.S. Plus I liked book two a lot better than book one.

8. Angus, Thongs, and Full-Frontal Snogging series  I haven’t read these books in forever, but I remember them being hilarious. I think I stopped around book 5, so I need to re-read and then finish the series.

9. Twenties Girl – I haven’t read Sophie Kinsella in a while, but the books I’ve read I really liked. They’re all set in England for the most part, from what I’ve seen.

10. Queen of Babble – A little bit of this book is set in the U.S. (some of the beginning), but the rest is set in foreign locales (England/France).

Have you read any of the books I listed here? If so, what’d you think of them?
