Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme, hosted by Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly awaiting.

There are so many books I’m excited about, so I’ll definitely keep doing Waiting on Wednesday. Because there are so many books coming out on May 3rd that I really want to read, I’m doing two picks each for this week’s, and next week’s, Waiting on Wednesday post. With that said, here are my picks that I can’t wait for.

The Unexpected Everything

Title: The Unexpected Everything
Author: Morgan Matson
Publisher: Simon & Schuster
Publication date: May 3, 2016
Summary (via Goodreads): Andie had it all planned out.

When you are a politician’s daughter who’s pretty much raised yourself, you learn everything can be planned or spun, or both. Especially your future.

Important internship? Check.

Amazing friends? Check.

Guys? Check (as long as we’re talking no more than three weeks)

But that was before the scandal. Before having to be in the same house with her dad. Before walking an insane number of dogs. That was before Clark and those few months that might change her whole life.

Because here’s the thing – if everything’s planned out, you can never find the unexpected.

And where’s the fun in that?

Why I Chose This Book:

I absolutely love Morgan Matson’s writing, so I’m super excited for a new book by her. The cover is adorable, and the summary makes me want to read this book ASAP! Can it be May 3rd already??

Suffer Love

Title: Suffer Love
Author: Ashley Herring Blake
Publisher: HMH Books for Young Readers
Publication date: May 3, 2016
Summary (via Goodreads): Hadley St. Clair’s life changed the day she came home to a front door covered in slips of paper, each of them revealing the ugly truth about her father. Now as her family falls apart in the wake of his year-long affair, Hadley wants everyone-her dad most of all-to leave her alone.

Then she meets Sam Bennett, a cute new boy who inexplicably “feels like home” to Hadley. Hadley and Sam’s connection is undeniable, but Sam has a secret about his family that could ruin everything.

Funny and passionate, Suffer Love is a story about first love, family dysfunction, and the fickle hand of fate.

Why I Chose This Book:

This sounds soooo good! I’ve been looking forward to reading this book for a while now, and I’m excited that it’ll be published soon. The cover is simple, but perfect.
